The Burgo Group takes part in Open Recycling 2019

On the occasion of the second staging of the Paper and Cardboard Recycling Month, a national initiative promoted by Consorzio Comieco, the Burgo Group opened the doors of its Avezzano plant, where packaging paper is produced using recycled fibre.

The production and life cycle of containerboard represent a virtuous circle, an important example of the circular economy, the fundamental link in which is the individual citizen. For this reason, as part of the Open Recycling initiative, paper and cardboard recycling plants have opened their doors to schools, the general public, institutions and the media so that they can directly observe the various phases of the industrial process and understand what happens to paper and cardboard once they are transferred to the appropriate containers.
