Burgo Group digital papers at drupa 2024 stands
EVO Sky and EVO Next, two brands from Burgo’s inkjet range, were among the protagonists at the stands of drupa 2024, the most important international trade fair for printing technology held in Düsseldorf from May 28 to June 7.
This was possible thanks to Burgo Group’s collaboration with leading partners: using pre-printed reels on the next generation of HP and Canon printing machines, for example, a number of stitched volumes were produced in real time at the Meccanotecnica's stand, using the technologies of this company, one of the major international players in the production of industrial bookbinding machines.
EVO Sky is a treated paper for high-speed colour inkjet systems. Thanks to its high level of whiteness and opacity, it’s the ideal solution for all major inkjet web presses, ranging from 90 to 200 gsm.
EVO Next is a multipurpose coated paper available with both a glossy and satin finish. It has been successfully tested on many web inkjet printers using primers, bonding agents, optimizers or special inks.
The excellent printing results of the two EVO papers were ‘experienced first-hand’ by drupa visitors during the fair days.
“While printing service providers of commercial, editorial, transactional and direct mail products are facing challenges with shrinking print runs and increasingly tight delivery times, inkjet printing is demonstrating its strengths by improving efficiency, profitability, and sustainability. Printing speed and optimization of make-ready times must not compromise the quality: the choice of paper is crucial as a factor that can enhance productivity and colour rendering”, commented Tomaso Esposito, commercial and marketing director at Burgo Group.
During drupa 2024, which counted over 170,000 visitors over eleven days, Burgo Group exhibited at the stands of HP and Fujifilm, too.
Burgo Group was present at the HP stand with the 270 gsm America Digi Gloss paper, a thick wood-free coated paper with high rigidity, and with 40 gsm Propharma Smooth, natural wood-free paper intended for pharmaceutical market thanks to its high opacity and good printability.
Finally, at the Fujifilm stand, Burgo Group showcased the woodfree coated paper in digital format, which guarantees perfect printability, clear and defined image reproduction, and perfect colour rendering.
